The Literacy Council of San Luis Obispo County is offering tutor training dates for 2009. The trainings take place at our office: 1264 Higuera St. Suite 102 in San Luis Obispo. They start at 9:00am and end at 3:30pm both days.

The Literacy Council of San Luis Obispo County offers two-session workshops designed for certification as a volunteer tutor. Previous teaching experience is not necessary. All that is needed is the desire to help others. You will learn strategies to teach basic speaking, reading and writing skills in Learning Centers located throughout the county.
The Literacy Council is now recruiting tutors for all locations in San Luis Obispo. Please see the volunteer page for more info.
